For our paper on LEGO polyhedra, Jin Yamauchi built a truncated icosahedron. This shape consists of 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons. It is a Goldberg polyhedron . multicolored C 60 using 1x4 Lego tiles and plates Lego fullerene models make interesting shadows truncated icosahedron flanked by a dog toy and a soccer ball pillow Our Lego model flanked by Polydron and Zometool models The truncated icosahedron is the underlying shape of the buckyball
